The university community invites applications for the Executive Recruiter and Public Relations Coordinator at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). This is a newly created position within the Office of Human Resources and is a result of recommendations made by various constituency groups. SIUE is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of 46 up-and-coming universities nationally and by Washington Monthly as among the top 50 out of 553 private and public master's universities nationally. The University has enjoyed 4 years of record enrollment and is currently completing a $300 million infrastructure and building program.
Job description: The Executive Recruiter and Public Relations Coordinator will help establish a defined strategy for achieving SIUE's employer branding objectives. She/he will work to identify strengths, weaknesses and hidden elements of the organization's culture to create unique messaging to attract and retain talent. The Executive Recruiter and Public Relations Coordinator will work with key administrators to ensure campus recruiting efforts are aligned with key academic, programmatic and business priorities of the University. She/he will be accountable for the development of creative recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, advertisement consultation, diversity outreach, resume review, as well as candidate screening techniques and interview structure. Additional roles include: developing and implementing print marketing materials and managing e-recruiting initiatives.
Minimum qualifications: A baccalaureate degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, speech communications, human resources administration, business administration, or public administration is required; however, a master's degree in an area listed above is preferred. In addition, two years of work experience performing professional-level marketing and/or relevant human resources duties (ex. talent acquisition/executive recruiting) is required. A demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft Office (more specifically, Excel and PowerPoint) is also required.
Starting salary: $3,032 per month
